Gene Quantification Core
The Gene Quantification Core provides automated, high throughput Real Time PCR instrumentation for quantitatively measuring the amplification of genetic material. Applications include gene expression analysis, pathogen quantitation, SNP genotyping, and library quantitation.
Gene Quantification Equipment
- Fluidigm BioMark™ HD System: The BioMark is a high through-put real-time PCR instrument which uses specially designed microfluidics chips to run many reactions at once. Applications include gene expression, single cell gene expression, SNP genotyping, copy number variation, and sample quantification for sequencing. We have the controller for the 48.48 chips, which can run 48 samples against 48 assays to perform 2304 real time PCR reactions in about 3 hours.
- Bio-Rad CFX384 Real Time PCR System: This instrument features thermal gradient functionality, multiplex capabilities, and includes CFX Manager™ software for data collection and analysis to support a wide variety of applications. This platform supports 384-well format for up to 10 dyes.
- Applied Biosystems 7500 Fast Real Time PCR System: This five-color platform is calibrated to support up to 10 dyes including SYBR Green, FAM, VIC, JOE, NED, TAMRA, ROX, Texas Red, Cy3 and Cy5 dyes in a 96-well format. Our system includes the 7500 Fast option to enable you to shorten your real-time PCR runs to as little as 30 minutes. Includes 7500 fast software v 2.0.
